Leading Fashion Brand adopted C&T’s HRM & WFM solution to establish efficient Human Resource Management
Company Background
A globally leading fashion brand, it is an internationally renowned German luxury label specializing in men’s apparel. Currently, the company operates dedicated stores in over 100 countries and regions worldwide. In recent years, China has become the fastest-growing market for the Group. Amidst the ongoing transformation of the global fashion industry, the brand has continuously evolved, embracing technology to adapt to market demands.
Customer Needs
While the company’s headquarters uses the SAP system, its localization capabilities were insufficiently detailed. Thus, the company needed a locally deployed HR system in China to support its human resources strategy planning and execution while demanding extremely high system security. Currently, the company has established its China headquarters in Shanghai and a procurement center in Guangzhou, with over 200 retail stores across mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan, employing approximately 2,000 people. Given the regional nature of its business operations in China, its retail network distribution, and employee scale, the company required a highly efficient HR management platform to better support business processes.
Human Resources Needs
C&T’s Advantages
The company, staying true to the German tradition of meticulousness and pragmatism, spent an entire year conducting a multi-dimensional evaluation of C&T. Based on C&T’s international management expertise, localized team, and implementation experience, the company ultimately entered into a strategic partnership with C&T.
As the core foundation of human resource management, the deployment of the two key functional modules “Payroll & Personnel” and “Time & Attendance” became the first step in the company’s HR digital transformation strategy. Through detailed requirements analysis and planning, C&T implemented HRM (Human Resource Management) and WFM (Workforce Management) systems simultaneously for the company’s operations in mainland China including Shanghai HQ, Guangzhou Procurement Center, Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan. This initiative aims to achieve the digital transformation of HR management in China while complying with labor laws and regulations across different regions.
Customer Benefits
C&T’s WFM system allows setting a 6-month validity period for employee overtime, shifting from a “compensatory time-off before overtime” policy to a “pre-approved overtime before time-off” approach, effectively standardizing overtime and leave processes while reducing backend record discrepancies. Additionally, the system assigns a unique scheduling code to each employee, enabling managers to verify whether subordinates have taken mandatory leave in compliance with legal requirements. Employees can also check their annual leave balances and overtime status anytime, anywhere via the system.
Project Progress
Phase 1: Organizational Structure, Personnel, and Payroll Modules
Phase 2: WFM/Time & Attendance and Process Modules for Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan
Phase 3: WFM/Time & Attendance and Process Modules for Mainland China
Meanwhile, C&T needed to integrate with the company’s headquarters’ SAP system, importing employee codes from SAP to break down data barriers between the two systems. Additionally, based on the company’s time and attendance requirements, HRM/WFM was integrated with the ZKTime system, enabling ZKTime system to push clock-in/out data and achieve seamless data exchange between the two systems covering group structure, department hierarchy, employee records, and attendance logs.
Throughout this process, C&T’s implementation team overcame time zone differences, maintaining constant communication with the company’s headquarters while delivering bilingual documentation and comprehensive solutions. After a full year of system implementation and nearly a year of operation, the company has established a robust HR management platform and workflow mechanism.
By leveraging C&T HRM’s powerful functionalities and flexible configurations, the company’s HR department can efficiently process vast amounts of data, significantly improving the accuracy and security of payroll and benefits management. Meanwhile, the WFM system has enabled the company to establish a highly efficient time & attendance system, implementing flexible shift planning and real-time attendance data review and analysis. This unified HR management system ensures smooth information flow and effective execution across different regions and business units, achieving highly efficient operational management.
